Shipping policy

Lead times
Every set is made to order. Lead time depends on construction and finish, and we confirm a build schedule with you in writing when the order lands. Your confirmed schedule is the one that counts. Anything you read here or elsewhere on the site is a general guide.
Lead times are estimates, not guarantees. Material supply, finishing, and machine scheduling all move. If your build slips, we tell you rather than letting the date pass quietly.
How wheels ship
Wheels ship by freight, crated and insured, anywhere in the United States. Shipping is calculated by weight at checkout.
Freight is not the same as parcel delivery. A few things to plan for:
- The carrier calls you to schedule delivery. Give us a phone number you actually answer.
- Standard freight is curbside. The driver is not required to carry the crate inside or into a garage.
- Residential delivery, liftgate service, and limited-access locations can carry extra carrier fees. We will quote these before shipping when we know about them.
- Someone needs to be there to inspect and sign for the crate. See below.
Inspect before you sign
This is the most important paragraph on this page.
Inspect the crate in front of the driver before you sign anything. If you see any damage to the crate or the wheels, write the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign it, and photograph the crate and its contents while the driver is still there. Then contact us within 48 hours at sales@newgenwheels.com.
Once you sign a clean delivery receipt, you are telling the carrier the shipment arrived undamaged, and a freight claim becomes very hard to win. Two minutes with a phone camera protects the whole order.
Lost or damaged shipments
Shipments are insured. If a crate is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will file and manage the claim with the carrier. We will tell you where the claim stands as it moves.
Claim resolution is on the carrier's timeline, not ours. We will not leave you waiting without an answer, but we cannot promise a date the carrier controls.
Shipping address
Check your address before you submit an order, including unit, suite, building, and apartment number. We ship to the address on the order.
If you need to change the address, contact us right away. Once a shipment is in the carrier's hands, an address change may not be possible, and reconsignment fees charged by the carrier are passed on to you.
Shipping outside the United States
Our standard freight covers the United States. Building something somewhere else? Get in touch before you order and we will work out what shipping looks like for your location.
On international orders, you are the importer of record. Duties, taxes, customs brokerage, and any other import charges are yours, and they are not included in the shipping quote. Customs clearance times are outside our control.
Split shipments
Staggered sets and multi-part orders normally ship together. If part of an order is ready early and you want it sooner, ask. Splitting a shipment usually costs more in freight, and we will quote that before we do it.
