Limited Lifetime Warranty

Our wheels carry a limited lifetime warranty on structural integrity and a one year warranty on finish. Both run to the original purchaser only, on the vehicle the wheels were built for.

Structural: limited lifetime

We warrant the wheel to be free from defects in material and workmanship in its load-bearing structure for as long as the original purchaser owns it. This covers the center, the barrel, the lip, and the assembly hardware on multi-piece wheels.

Finish: one year

We warrant the finish against defects in workmanship, such as clear coat failure or plating defects, for one year from delivery. A finish is a consumable surface. It wears, and how long it looks new depends almost entirely on how it is cared for. Normal wear, oxidation, staining, and etching are not defects. See the care guidance below, because it is the difference between a lip that looks right in five years and one that does not.

Not transferable

This warranty covers the original purchaser and does not transfer when the wheels or the vehicle are sold. It ends when you sell them.

The remedy

If a wheel fails under these terms, we will repair or replace it at our option. That is the extent of the remedy. We do not cover labor, mounting, balancing, alignment, towing, storage, tires, or any other cost that follows from a failed wheel.

Intended use

These wheels are designed and manufactured for show car and off-road use. No fitness for any other use is implied. Any published load rating applies only to an undamaged, unmodified wheel that is correctly installed and maintained.

What is not covered

  • Road hazard damage. Potholes, curbs, debris, and impact damage of any kind.
  • Cosmetic wear. Finishes are consumable surfaces. Brake dust, road salt, acid-based wheel cleaners, automated car washes, and normal weathering all take a toll, particularly on polished and brushed surfaces. Care guidance is below.
  • Corrosion from environmental exposure, chemical exposure, or neglected cleaning.
  • Improper installation. Wrong hardware, wrong torque, missing re-torque, or a wheel forced onto a hub it was not machined for.
  • Racing, competition, or track use.
  • Incorrect fitment resulting from specifications supplied by you. See our Terms of Service.
  • Any wheel that has been modified. See the next section.

Modification voids everything

Refinishing, machining, welding, powder coating, heat treating, drilling, or disassembling and reassembling a wheel surrenders all liability on our part and voids this warranty in full.

This matters most on multi-piece wheels. They are assembled and sealed under controlled conditions with specific hardware and torque values. Taking one apart in a shop and putting it back together is not a repair, it is a structural failure waiting for a highway on-ramp. Do not do it, and do not let anyone do it for you.

Installation requirements

  • Install by a qualified professional using the hardware we supply or hardware we specify.
  • Torque to the specification supplied with your order, in a star pattern, on clean threads.
  • Re-torque after the first 50 to 100 miles, and check periodically after that.
  • Confirm brake, suspension, and fender clearance during a test fit before you drive the vehicle.

Caring for the finish

Do this and your wheels will look right for years:

  • Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap and a soft brush or cloth. Dry them afterward.
  • Wash them cool. Never spray water or cleaner on hot wheels straight off a drive.
  • Rinse off brake dust and road salt promptly. Both etch a finish if they sit.
  • Wax or seal polished and brushed surfaces to slow oxidation.

Do not do any of this:

  • Acid-based or caustic wheel cleaners. These will eat a polished lip.
  • Automated or drive-through car washes.
  • Steel wool, abrasive pads, or polishing compounds on a clear-coated surface.
  • Pressure washing directly at the wheel's hardware or the barrel seal.

Making a claim

Email sales@newgenwheels.com with your order number, clear photographs of the issue, and a description of what happened and when. Keep the wheel as it is. Do not refinish, machine, or disassemble it, and do not have a shop attempt a repair. Any of those ends the claim.

We may ask you to ship the wheel back for inspection. If the claim is approved, we cover return freight. If it is not, we will tell you why and quote any repair we can offer.

Custom orders are final

All custom wheel sales are final once the build is released to production. Our Refund Policy has the full terms, including the cancellation window before production starts.
